Playing with new icons
I’m playing with a set of icons on the top right of my site. Links to different sites I have stuff on. Basically: Social Network Overload.
“Connected”
There’s too much pressure imposed by all this social network shit. Maybe it’s just me, but being connected now-a-days actually has less to do with being connected, than it does with being a voyeur. Or in the other end of the spectrum, an attention whore.
Simply putting yourself out there, is not being connected. Having a bond, a common cause or common ground to stand on. That’s being connected.
I focus on the word “connected”, since it seems to be the buzz word most businesses are using to sell their next-gen ideas or products. The truth is, the less we see of one another, the less connected we become.
I should post this on my Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and Virb accounts as well.
