Driving back from Waco last night, we noticed the engine getting really really hot. Hot to the point where we could feel it on our legs in the front seat. It had gotten warm before, but this was bad.

We checked into our hotel with Ben planning on taking the van to a mechanic in the morning.

The next morning, Ben calls from the shop. A cooling system problem. Leaks in several places. Almost $900 total work needs to be done. We had 2 options:

1- Rent another room and miss the McAllen show, waiting for the van to be done. Or;

2- Ride down with the other bands, use their equipment, and pick the van and trailer up on the way back to Plano.

I’m typing this from the Forgive Durden bus. The choice was obvious. We can’t afford to miss a show, and didn’t wan to let anyone in McAllen down. Auggie, Rico and Noel are with Anarbor. Ben and I are with Forgive Durden. We grabbed a few necessities from the trailer, like merch and a few pieces of equipment and then piled in the bus.

I just found out that Anarbor blew a trailer tire a few minutes ago. Something is trying to keep us from going to McAllen…
